Last weekend, I met up with some dear friends of mine for a maternity session at this great park in Arvada. Who knew the metro area actually had rolling hills!
Marci is due in about a month with their second kiddo…a little boy this time and I’m so thrilled for them. Their sweet little girl, Roisin, was born at 31 weeks so the maternity session we had planned never got to happen and thankfully, Marci isn’t having any of the health concerns this time that she did with Roisin. You’d never know that this sassy little lady was a preemie by the way she was running around. The last time I photographed this family, Roisin was a tad bit smaller
. She’s definitely a little doll
Having been through the whole pregnancy process myself, I’m just in awe of all pregnant ladies. Not to get all sappy and weird but it’s an amazing thing carrying a human being around! We rock ladies![]()

The light that evening was just awesome. Had to get some of mama and her first born![]()

What do you do when you’re trying to get a little one to hold still? Give ‘em some grass to play with![]()

Probably one of my favorite images from the session. Roisin was determined to make it to the pond whenever no one was looking and she ever so kindly stopped at the edge to let me snap a few of her and her sheep companion.

I’m always going to be a sucker for little girls and their daddies. Especially ones that ride on daddy’s shoulders.

Love you guys and can’t wait to meet the new little guy soon!![]()

Selah has taken to following Finley into a back bedroom lately while Finley lays in the sun. I’m sure Finley isn’t too thrilled with her sunbathing being interrupted by this crawling, screeching baby but Selah loves to be anywhere the dogs are and I wanted to try and get at least 1 good photo of Selah with Finley.
This photo of my first 2 kids – one furry and one not – will bring a smile to my face in the not so distant future. It’s been 2 years since she was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor and while the medication she’s on have been keeping her symptoms at bay and as happy as she can be, it’s becoming apparent that it’s starting to wear on her. She had a seizure recently; the reason, we’re not too entirely sure but we’ve been having the ‘when is it time’ talk more frequently. She’s fine now and back to her old self…moving from one sun spot to another while Selah chases her around, trying to get a handfull of fur.
So until we have to make that difficult decision, I’m glad to know I have at least one good image of my daughter with the best dog I’ve ever had.

I met up with Tammy and her husband recently at this great open space park in Morrison, Lair O The Bear, for their maternity mini session. They’re expecting a sweet little boy soon and wanted to get some images taken before their Just the Two of Us becomes Party of 3. I think maternity sessions, especially with your first child, are so great to document they way you were before everything changes forever and of those last moments alone with your significant other.

Tammy has the most gorgeous red hair…I’m so jealous! The light that afternoon was just simply awesome.

One of my favorite images from their session…just the 2 of them![]()
